Nonverbal & Verbal
Psychotherapy is about making the unconscious conscious. I am a dedicated psychotherapist with a specialization in somatic psychology. My work revolves around the intricate relationship between the body and mind, recognizing that physical sensations and emotional states are deeply intertwined. With a rich background in dance and movement analysis, I effectively marries nonverbal and verbal communication, enabling me to uncover unconscious patterns that significantly shape clients' behavior and emotional responses.
One of my core beliefs is that the body retains memories and lived experiences, often more vividly than the mind can articulate. This insight informs my therapeutic approach, as I skillfully observe clients’ micro-movements and subtle shifts during sessions. These observations often reveal underlying emotional narratives that are crucial for understanding and addressing unresolved trauma and dysfunctional coping mechanisms. By tuning into these physical expressions, I assist clients articulate feelings they may struggle to express verbally, facilitating a more profound healing process.
My approach is integrative, combining elements of traditional talk therapy with embodiment practice as needed. This unique blend offers clients a holistic perspective on their struggles. Healing is not a linear process. It involves ups and downs as individuals encounter their challenges. I am here to support and guide clients every step of the way, providing compassion and understanding as they navigate their healing journeys.
